So this week we have our introduction to Bianka. She has a talent for killing things as you can see.
I have been focusing my efforts on my writing skills lately. I have taken some advice from a few writer friends of mine and I applied it to the comic. Hopefully the comic will begin to read as well as it looks, lol. I am also looking into getting some guest writers to help with the upcoming pages.
I am also looking for any feedback on a print version of the comic book. I hope to produce the first issue in a few weeks. Anyone interested? I will also add several concept and art pages to the printed comic. Feel free to comment!

It’s artists like you that make me wish I had the money to buy a printed version… however I don’t have the money Otherwise… HELLA YEAH I’d buy I a printed version. Until then I’m gonna have to make due with the online version. And again I love your comic.

Nice comic. Actually, very beautifully drawn. The one thing that gets me, is not the violence, or the lack of clothing on the herorines…actually it is the line that people draw when they include violence or sex/nudity. Why not go all the way? Why not show the violence in totality…or why be inhibited with anything else. Just a thought…and not just about this strip…just about the whole genre.

If you took this comic strip all way with the sex/nudity then … no offense… I’d more than likely just stop reading. Which if you ask anyone that truely knows me would tell you the same about me. What can I say I’m a picky bitch. Now if you went more with violence, I wouldn’t stop reading.

Sex and violence are two very delicate issues that have to balanced carefully in any medium. In Europe sex doesn’t offend as much as it does here in the states. The exact opposite can be said for Americans. Americans do not mind the violence but showing any form of nudity turns many people off. Doing a little bit of both is a tightrope walk that could swing my readers either way. I am all for the use of both only to add emphasis to a character type or the power of an attack. Let’s face it folks, weapons like swords, axes, arrows oe clubs did ugly things to the human body, and at least throughout my story, clothes weren’t a very serious matter like it is now. I am ok doing both if the story is improved and the readers are happy. Just trying to do both carefully and wisely.^^

Please don’t get me wrong full nudity with violence doesn’t turn me off, it’s has more to do with how one treats both in their comic that turns me off. For instance if you did a ton of nudity with violence and kept the comic the way it is now, with respect, a good storyline, breathtaking graphics, and the delicate balance between comedy, serious tones.. then I’ll all for the extra nudity and violence however if you make it raunchy then yeah I’m gonna stop reading the comic that I fell in love with. So there you go, that’s how I truly feel .. sorry not making it clear the first time.

if you start going into the full nudity with less violence then you’re comic might has well be a hentai but if you go with full violence and little nudity it’s just anouther fantasy comic like all the rest but if you add more violence and more nudity you’re be a major hit i mean it’s ok now but more violence and more nudity in a equal balance with amazing grapics and a good story line then well … you’re be my fav and i know like 8 off my freinds will start reading it .
p.s. it’s a really fucking cool comic but what is above is just how i think you could improve, keep up the good work

Thank you both of you. I hope I didn’t come across all wrong either. I totally enjoyed the feedback and I love this kind of discussion. I would love to see more of this. No one really offends me in real life. I feel like even the most negative (your feedback was in no way negative) has very important information that can be used to improve my skills. Just to add my two cents…and that is about all it is worth…sex and violence for the sake of sex and violence is not a good idea. However, if the story is going to be…adult…and not just adult in nature…then don’t hold back. Put the story out there.
Let’s look at other books that have been published in the past that were heavy on both sex and violence. Conan the Barbarian comes to mind. A fantasy world, savagely violent, but incredibly sexy. Would the stories have been enhanced with more bare skin…I think everyone who is familiar with it would say yes. After all, it was part of the environment, part of the motiff of the story if you will. Like Kris said, nothing was ever said about how brutally violent the main story was in Conan, the censors were more concerend about how much of a nipple was showing. Give me a break.
The other example that comes to mind right away is “Heavy Metal Magazine.” Unabashedly adult, and probably an industry standard when it came to GREAT ART, fantastic writing, excellent stories…the list goes on. I don’t think I need to expound on how long that publication has been around and the kind of ground that it broke.
Lastly, we can look at video games. With the advent of games like Grand Theft Auto, Bully (any number of Rockstar Games), some of the first person shooters that are coming out (that take gaming to an unheard of reality in the way of extreme graphic violence in turns of…’yeah, that is pretty close to what it looks like when you put a high caliber bullet through someone’s head at 1100 ft/sec) we can easily say that the American public really has no problem with violence…and if the truth be told, really has no problem with nudity or sex.
Let the Extreme Right Wing christian zealots (probably the same morons who picket book stores for selling Harry Potter novels) wring their hands over what they believe is incorrect. They are not the audience that is being written for. Instead, the story and content should be geared to those who have intelligence and can appreciate not only a great story, but can appreciate the fantastic realism that a talented artist can depict. After all, adults are the largest consumer of comics today, and because they are adult they expect a more mature content.
The strip is great. Thanks for your efforts…and I encourage you to keep at it.

Another two or more cents for ya… if you make this like a bad porno then I’m gonna have to stop reading, however I like Heavy Metal watched it at the at of five. I like Conan the Barbarian (ahem) the movies and I even liked Red Sonya (ahem) the movie. I see a lot of b rated movies that I don’t like cause there is no story, no plot.. just mild sex and teasing. If this comic becomes anything like that then I’ll just be here to see the beautiful pictures. Do as you will…obvisously it’s yours lol. I just don’t want to see such a great comic fall into horrible porno like state or even icky b rate state.
However it’s an interesting, awesome storyline, great plot comic with breathtaking graphics. *bows*

I wasn’t suggesting that it become a blood soaked porno LMAO. I was simply making comparisons and showing examples of how a very adult comic can work. Wow, I didn’t think that my comments on the genre as a whole would create such…controversy.

Now just to add my 25 cents, I agree with you that there is a balance between sex and violance! But im also a firm believer in “MORE IS BETTER” LOL! I like sex i like violence in the stuff i read or draw! I think its all in a individuals preffrence! But hey man keep doin what your doin Hommie, U got a true fan in me!!

Dude, awesome stuff. I just found this comic randomly and so far i really like what I’ve seen. Your style has certainly improved since the earlier pages and you narrative keeps the comic even more interesting.
I’ve bookmarked this comic and put it in my rss reader, so you can consider me a new fan and i hope you keep up the fine quality.
p.s…. You have fine balance of nudity and violence as it is, so don’t worry.

Wow now this is what I am talking about everyone! This makes me smile so much! I am very happy that the people that are reading my comic are capable of thinking like this. I do it all the time, on everything in life. The comparison of Conan and Heavy Metal mag stories really made me happy. Mainly because those are the things I read growing up. The raw lawlessness, savagery and primitive times reflected in Conan was my inspiration behind Una, her lack of clothing, amazing skills as a warrior and her strength. I made her sexy yet strong! Thanks a lot for the great thread!

So a shy, manical, depressed, semi-pyschotic, from a broken home character eh… I don’t think that would flatter me lol. I just thought I upset someone that’s all… and I like to play it safe and not upset people. Anyway I guess I should be happy my posting seems to have jump started you to post. However I only posted once before this strip when the giant “oof” appears.

wow ever one here’s so nice on the online comic i started i had people telling me im shit and sending virus’s to me and bugs which made me depressed and closed it down and deleted all off it’s pages off my hard drive but… if you can get a good crowd like this i may think about starting again … maybe! lol

interesting comic, i like the idea behind it, it is graphically appeasing but as its been said the story needs a better writer, it can distract the reader more when he is turned off by the writing. The writing almost seems teenager like, and the artwork more adult. Try to think it out more and don’t be afraid to rewrite the script. when i write i go through several revision just to get it to sound like it should.
now, about the art, if your going to be adult, go all the way, don’t hold back on your vuision because of critics, but don’t let it take away from the story either. if it detracts from the story you will lose readers. But don’t be afraid to lose readers for what your vision truely is. A damn good story.

Thank you Blitzdragoon, I appreciate your comments and honesty. I do need a lot more practice with my writing. To be honest, I was never a really good writer, just a good visionary. This is my first real attempt at writing and I figured I would begin with this story. I know that doing something this close to my heart will force me to improve my skills. Also I have a good friend and mentor helping me with my writing going forward. We will begin co-writing next week and you should see some improvement. Thank Blitz!
