I would love to hear from anyone about the comic pages. Let us know if there’s anything that you feel could be done to improve the comic. This may our baby but this comic is also done for you all that enjoy reading it. We want to keep you coming back and grow through the fan’s telling friends about the comic. A lot goes into the comic every week. We would love to see this grow into a daily comic book but we can’t do it without everyone’s support. Please feel free to comment, add and suggest ideas. Thanks everyone and please keep reading. You are very important to us.

well I love your comic so far, one thing I would like to find out more about in the comic is if the hand prints and such on Una actually do anything ^^;, apart from that(which we will probably find out later anyway) I think the comics perfect

Thanks a lot Rhemora. If you go back to page 2007-06-10 and 2007-06-17 you will see that the undead can’t see Una. It’s not stated but it’s implied. Thanks for writing me, I appreciate it tons

Hello Kris, and thanks muchly for enriching the world with your creation. I could wish you would update more frequently, but I don’t suppose that would be very kind of me, so I won’t say anything like that.
Since you are asking for feedback, and specifically constructive criticism, may I take a moment to direct you to the artwork from the page posted on October 1? It seems to be a different style of artwork, a little more realistic, a little more detailed, than many of the other pages. I think all your artwork is stunning, and I’ll take as much of it as you’re offering, but it’s a little off-putting to have the style change in mid-stream.
I wish I could describe what is different in better terms, but my calling is more literary and less visual, so my knowledge of those terms is severely lacking, and my opinion could be as well.
At any rate, thanks for sharing your vision with us, and I look forward to the next installment.

Hey there Toad, thanks for the great feedback. Just to let you and everyone who reads the comic know, I am working hard to do weekly updates to the comic. Michael and I are also working extra content for character bios and background story. On the subject of my art style changing, yes it started out pretty inconsistent, I admit that. As I began to really focus daily on the comic I noticed that my style has become more consistent. I guess that comes with constant work. Thanks a lot for reading, Toad and I will keep pumping the comic out. I only wish I could do this full time instead of splitting my time on the comic and my day job.

I have being reading your webcomic since the beginning and it seems to keep its high standards and most importantly its regularity (too many fine webcomics simply cease after a while, I fervently hope this sad end doesn’t happen here ever). The art is great (alltough I rather think that you like dark purple/violet a bit too much) and the the story thus far is interresting and funny. For now I have only a couple of questions. Does Una truly have wings, (pg 2007/07/01 - perhaps they only appear in “Valhalla”) ? Are there going to appear any male adventurers (fine by me if no hero appears, I rather like angry women with swords and magic
? On the other hand perhaps you won’t answer these question to keep the suspense. In either case I can only say: “Keep up your excellent work !”

I have to agree with the artwork changing here and there but it has become more consistent. I too would not want to see that sad ending. As I said before and I state it again I normally don’t like these kinds of comics but this one .. this is doing good. It has captivated me; I find myself checking almost every day to see if a new page has been put up or if someone has commented yet ^^ .

Hiya mate, would have been here earlier but heaps of comp problems, don’t ask!
As one who loves a solid plot line, and good scriptwriting, I have to say your bang on target. The art work has evolved, and whilst thats not necessarily a bad thing, it might be just what is needed at present.(think its beautiful either ways).
I am real geek in some ways, and love reading all the extra info on characters , that I can find. So anything you post , you can be sure ill have a look at.
So keep it up, cheers!

Wow, seriously thank you so much everyone. I was seriously beginning to get worried about the comic. I have been working very hard to post once a week and wasn’t seeing much feedback. Feedback for me is a way to truly give you, the readers an experience that keeps you coming back. I am not an ego maniac, nor do I believe I am a perfect artist. I am doing this out of the love I have for the characters and world I’ve been designing for a decade now. But for this comic to truly hit it off with everyone, you the readers need to be involved. Every piece of advice you give me I take and process into the comic. I especially listen to the repeat readers like Michelle and Warnie because they have been here from the start. That means you really care and I am more than happy to take in your suggestions.
Remember the discussion about sex and violence we had a couple months ago? I realized that there is a need for both but I spent the last couple of months working with Michael on how to do it right. Not exploitative but because it’s how either the races are or because of events like having armor destroyed. Both required some nudity and a violent action. Those statement posted lead to the pages you are now reading. I appreciate you all for posting and hopefully now everyone can see how a reader can have an impact on the comic. Thank you
Oh and Flamarande, Una does have wings, or did. I will be posting more about her race soon. The story kind of requires me to keep the lack of wing deal quiet at the moment. Her story will be told in great detail soon. Thanks a lot for the post ^^

*blushes* well I think I give more praise than suggestions. I know if I see something different I’ll say something (but that’s more due to the fact that you said you like hearing comments).

If you’re wondering if a new page is coming and haven’t seen anything yet, it’s because my writer Michael is unavailable this week. But the art is done and if you want a sneak peak at the finished page go to the link below. If you don’t have a Deviant account you wont be able to view the page. All you need to do is register with deviant real quick, seriously, it’s so easy. Once you have an account you can view the page, also go to my gallery and you will see tons of other Ethereal art. Thanks everyone and Happy Holidays!

Hey all, writing from the library here because internet at home is down (cable problems, they have to dig a new line under the street to my house, not sure how long that will take, and have multiple internet-addicted relatives at my house over Thanksgiving, should be… interesting…). Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I really am working on dialog and background on my landlocked machine at home, and at least I can still talk to Kris on cell-phone :p
As for the comic style, here’s my personal read on the “evolution” you’ve seen, for what it’s worth. Kris spent a lot of time on individual panels at first because he wasn’t trying to get things published so fast, but the more complex scenes (battles with multiple enemies is a lot of work) and drive to put stuff up there more regularly dictates a paring back of time per panel. Personally I like the new style better in some ways, it’s cleaner and more focused on the central characters and actions; as for the purple/red tones, I think it perfectly reflects the action and characters, and gives it “identity” that’s more recognizable. I look at some of my faovrite comics that go back over the years, especially the online ones done in Photoshop rather than purely pen and paper, and they show similar settling over time into a trademark look. And I am sure as settings change from night-time raids involving Elves, Goblins and, er, “adventurer” types (thief is such a harsh word) like Sharlise to something new, the color theme will get adjusted as well. Or not, it’s really totally up to Kris, and I’m not about to mess with success.
Well, time on the library machine is running down, better post this before my account locks up!
Ciao for niao

Hi Daddy! I finally found your comic ^_^; I love and miss you!

I’d like to suggest to use a bit more implied motions and have more visual cliff hanger on the last frame.
For example, you have the villian just standing there without changing in two frames while he monologs.
Think how much better it would be if in the second frame she is reaching to just touch mom and his sword is already moving down.
There is no motion and doubt and a good visual cliffhanger.

Thanks a lot djswarm, I appreciate the advice and will do better to implement exactly that going forward. Very solid point man, Thanks
