No, I’m not THAT Ken C. hehe. I’m originally from Scotland, and now live in the states, and I don’t think I’ve ever worked with anyone associated with Ethereal Legacies before…. although brats and beer sounds tempting.
And although you don’t like this page much, I think it’s still pretty cool. Lots of Helftits

Brats n Beer - Haggis n Scotch Ale - pretty much one n the same. I’m Scots/Irish (depending on which side wants to disown me most at the moment) and so I can testify that the mixture of “questionable animal parts squeezed into animal guts” with “that’s more than 7% alcohol content” booze cooked over a fire that blazes several feet into the air is definitely the way to go. Although I do remember getting into a heated argument with one of Raven’s FORMER execs about the differences between “brats” that you cook and eat and “brats” that are bad children who need to be spanked. Not that those are always different
Still, the Ken C (who used to work at Destineer but no longer does) and Ken C (who posts here) are not one and the same. For one thing, the Ken C who used to work at Destineer was over-worked and underpaid, and was going gray in his 20’s. I am sure the Ken C who posts here is under-worked and over-paid, and has supernaturally lush long blond locks.
That, or my gin and tonic* has just kicked in :p

*have to keep switching between beer, scotch, martinis and vodka, so my liver doesn’t know what to expect next, so I don’t have to worry about how much I drink
May 8th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
First off, pummel that liver into submission. It either needs to get with the program, or stand aside and let the stomach do the heavy lifting.
Second, I have long, flowing black locks of hair, partially grown to hide the discouraging bald spot I started growing on the crown of my head in my mid-thirties.
There are days when I most assuredly get paid more than I am worth, then there are countless long weeks, where I wonder WHY the hell I ever moved here to do what I do, for the people I do it for, for the pay that I get. At those times I try to remember the times when I’ve gotten to tell my bosses that they are all absolutely full to the brim of bullshit, and if they don’t do what I say they are going to lose MILLIONS of dollars. When they listen it is immensely gratifying, when they don’t, and lose millions, it is even more so. It is fun to play with other peoples money, and have no real consequences if you allow them to make poor choices.

Cool page this week, despite you being unhappy with it. You know what the key is? You can always redo the page when you finish this volume and put it to the physical comic run.
By the way, happy early 80,000 hits!!!

The only problem I see with it is that the red outfit looks like it was changed in the last frame, rest of it still looks awesome to me.

Aww boo, what happened to the outfit colors I picked out? Glad to see you finished this one, it looks great despite what you may think.

Hey people, got a favor to ask -
besides keeping the webcomic moving, Kris and I have been talking about changing the format of the website itself. I have been taking some courses in website design, and I think we could improve how we deliver content to you - and hopefully give you MORE of what you want!
So, I have a job for all of you. Look around the website. Check out the pages you maybe haven’t been to yet, or looked at once a while ago and never went back to. Think about features you might like to see - not just new art (that will always depend on Kris’ output, let’s not kill the goose that lays the golden eggs) - but also things like message boards (separate from comments on individual pages) and scraps and whatever. Compare maybe to other sites you are familiar with and really like visiting.
Now one word of caution - I am still “in training” and so some additions or changes may take a while. Kris is still (sort of) only human and won’t be able to triple his output without killing himself. But, we really want to be open to you the end audience in what you want, and as out abilities catch up we will try to meet those wants.
Consider this the first step in a collaborative effort to get you what you most want and make things easier for us to give it to you.
Feedback please to my personal email - (replace spaces with underscores)

In the first and second panel she’s her cute usual self.
But, I see what you mean, her chin seems odd in the bottomright panel, more mature, straighter lines. Less cute

More to come… I am putting together a bunch of cool stuff but right now I need to do this at my own pace. I am gathering a bunch of pages to entertain everyone for some time to come.

Take your time homey, dont be afraid to send anything you want inked

Looks good guys. The page is simple but clean. Not every page needs to be over the top!
Congrats on the hits by the way. Soon it will be over 100k.

Kris you doing all right? It’s odd/rare that we don’t at least hear that things are going ok with your life (comic aside). Hopefully work isn’t too hellish right now. We miss hearing from you man :).
You take care of yourself bro. I worry about you sometimes…

Hope all is well with you. Looking forward to a new comic assuming everything is alright and you are able / willing to draw one.
