Wednesday, June 18th, 2008Hey all, this is Rachel filling in for Kris on this post. His son, daughter and mom are in town, so he’s got a lot to handle right now. :) This is the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time though. He did manage to take some time to make the newest page while I was teaching his son UnrealEd, so enjoy, and we’ll see you again next week!

Right on. Nice page guys, and nice guest post too. Glad to hear you are getting to spend some time with family.
I need someone to teach me how to use UnrealEd,
maybe then I could figure out how to make a passable map for Americas Army *grrr*

Nice page ya’ll. Also I love the game Duke Nukem. Haven’t played it in forever though (seems like forever anyway). Well I hope you have fun with your family. Have a great time and take care.

Back in my day we had to build our levels with Legos, and pack em in big boxes to ship to people!
Kris: I forgot to ask you the story behind the skeletons in the first panel. Who are they?
Ken: There’s always the tutorials on my site, hint hint wink wink nudge nudge.

Awesome panel this week guys. Thanks Rachel for taking care of the posting. Kris has been waiting to see his two kids for eons. From your post it sounds like his daughter isn’t in yet, or can’t make it…which is sad if that didn’t work out :(. That whole trip took a lot of planning, so it’s great to see that it worked out!
Michelle, nice pun on the Duke Nukem: Forever comment. Even if it wasn’t an intentional jab at that latest Duke game that holds the record for longest development cycle haha :). Ahh…good old Duke games. Gotta rescue the babes!
Have a great weekend all!

Wait so there’s another Duke game that’s coming out and it’s still being developed? Wow I didn’t even know that. Err so yes that was an unintentional jab *coughes*. So just how long has it been in developement anyway?
June 20th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I thought you were serius there a moment… that would have been sad.
its been in the works for atlest 10 years
June 20th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
*scratches head* No I’m dead serious I didn’t know there was another game in developement. So 10 years … wow that’s a long time to be developed. It better be good when it comes out that’s all I have to say.

Really, duke nukem forever has been a running joke in the industry for quite some time. I remeber seeing the first screens five yours ago. Looked really nice actualy. There is actualy a fjew minutes of someone filming a guy playing it but nothing else has been heard of it for a long long time

Thanks man, and its just the tip of the iceberg,
Check out the rest of my devart for more inks, not much legacies right now but plenty of shapley ladies
June 24th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Shapely ladies = Perfection! It’s such a shame that society pushes skin and bones as being sexy…wait let me rephrase. It’s a shame that “marketing” pushes that imagery on us, not society.
Sadly out of the thousands of men and women I know or have met in my life, I can safely say that MAYBE 5-10% of them prefer the sticks to the sexy shape that women are meant to have via our genetic coding LOL.
Stick thin isn’t in, and the stegosaurus spine look is just gross…
If anyone understands the above it’d be you all. Especially Kris LOL :).

Yeah Maud I have to say that is a sweet pic. And yes very shapely. Also I agree that stick thin women and stegosaurus women look hideous.

Haven’t been here for months and boy have i been missing out.
This comic has not only got better art wise , the story has really developed as well.Which in my mind , is the bench mark of a really superior web comic.
Don’t get me wrong ,Eye candy is nice , but if your characters don’t have true depth or soul, then your all left with is nice figures drawn on paper (as it were) and not living breathing figures , who battle the odds and inspire others to do as well.
keep up the great work!
yeah , guess this means i have to show up more often;)
